Creating an animation of bouncing balls using a particle system and physics for collisions (Blender version 2.55).
The key part of this tutorial is replacing the particles with an object, in the demo the particles are replaced by a monkey followed by a red sphere.
The basic steps are –
– Add a particle system to an object to make it a particle emitter
– Replace the particles with an object (red ball)
– Add a plane for the balls to bounce off
– Fine tune to make more realistic
