If you see a river drawn on a picture...

If you see, that on a painting
A painter drew a stream
Or a fir-tree with white frosting
Or an orchard there has been
Or a snowy plain with clouds
Or a field and a small hut
The painter can be proud –
“landscape” is what he’s got!

Stanford's New Website Converts Your Photos to 3D

Posted 01-29-2008 at 05:26 PM by Stryker
Stanford university has a new website allows you toconvert with your own photos into 3d scenes. The system can take a 2-d still image and estimate a detailed 3-d structure which you can navigate.

http://make3d.stanford.edu/

Make3D converts your single picture into a 3-D model. It takes a two-dimensional image and creates a three-dimensional "fly around" model, giving the viewers access to the scene's depth and a range of points of view.
