Helmet

This is my first model in 3d max .

The thing is that I don't know how to put materials corectly on a circular surface. I tried but I didn't manage to do it. If someone can help me with some few examples pls mail me.

Pretty good for a beginning, I remember mine -.- full of frustration...

As for texturing, I don't know if it's right (never really came that far to texture my objects), you can just drag/drop a material, or if you plan to add some signs (of battle) to the texture, try to add an 'UVW Map' Modifier, than choose Sphere or Cylinder from the ... list :S ...

And keep us up-to-date :) :D!

a nice simple helmet model, good work to be the first :)

as Incognito said just drag and drop if it is material, if it is a texture with patterns and so apply a uvw modifier for a starter then later when you really want to learn texturing learn uvw unwrapping ;)
