concept model [robo007] in progress...

hello frndz,
thnx for ur comments on my previous wips...
it really did boost me & helped me to cum up wid new ideas in modeling...
im still a beginer in modelling & need help to improve it...

this time tried to model a robot...
took a reference from a downloaded image n changed it a bit acording to my requirements...
hope u'll like it!
comments & suggestions are alwayz welcum on this thread...

it has a poly count & wirframe without applying smooth...

I'm a max user and also use maya....
I may be close to it or may be wrong but maya is too much into loops, right in the beginning of any modelling. Where max can handle mesh till a little stage and loops come into existence.
And as you are about to create a robot, it has few hard corners and this model look like has a lot of smooth corners.
well it even depends on what robot you are modelling.
Try corners In BUMP MAPS INSTEAD DIRECT IN MODELLING(like cars).
If ur good in texturing you can hide soft corners.
wire looks clean.
good work keep it going.
(the attachment took more then 50 edges to create perfect corners)

i agree dat corners are quite smooth in this model, i'll try to get harder edges in the corners...also agree that can be done while texturing...
