Rep Power: 6 ![]() | they both looks good to me. but i really hope for your own sake no. that you have used layers to model this in pieces, and named all the main parts and id them. or els this will be a hell to texture :P if your going to texture it? hehe :P i'm really imprest that your still keep on working on this project. many people would have putt this to side and started on somthing new. but real tallents end there projects with style ;) keep it up mate. good work so far.

| Member | Very nice and detailed. I'm sure that you will have to use lots of time to texture it, and good luck making this detailed cathedral. If you are using Vray as renderer, you'd better keep it less than 1.5 million polygons if you want to have high quality render (if not, you will need to have a lot of PC resources) Thanks :) |

| Member | I think you need a higher resolution texture map, since I can see it has been repeated for many times (or just apply Unwarp UVW and start 'painting' there). Other than that, you should give some displacement/bump to the roof tiles so that it will not look like 'paint'. It will be nice if you put some 'drawing' on the windows, just like in the church/cathedral in real life. Adding algae on the parts near the floor and the 'necessary' parts also will make the scene looks more realistic ;) For the bricks, I think it should be greyish so that it looks 'older'. When you render the 'final scene', you can do an ambient occlusion pass, then the different light passes, shadows, reflection, refraction, GI etc so that you can have more 'control' over it. Here is a tutorial about that : http://evermotion.org/?unfold_exclus...fold=exclusive |
