Making another Parthenon

When I saw that this image of parthenon, enjoied and said that I like simulate it with CG render. (That work made by XSI)
I will work by 3dsmax and VRay. Lets go!

First Image

I start by making general objects. don't attend to details because I desided to show you what I want do. then will attend to details and will make many different changes in it. ofcourse with attend to your ideas.

@ motyka: thanks Nancy! like always you have kindness.

Now. I will start from first stages. I start by makin columns. for it I use Shape> Start. play with start's parameters to create good column base. (like image). then easily extrude it and for better result I use taper modifier too. remember that I said, want make CG work not completely realistic. but get little number for taper amount.

after column will try to make abacus. it's easy. I use line and lathe for down part and for up, create box, convert it to Editable Mesh and play with vertexes, edges and polygones to make some crash in it. it's old stone so need to make it damaged.

I agree with you. We definitely have to convince Mohammad to do more work and show us how he does it. He has done some fine work that I have seen.

I think before cloning you should try to change the mesh of every coloumn so that they differ a bit and seems weared off a little, hope you understand :)
