Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I'm no expert at Maya, but try reversing the normals on your wall/box, and see if that works. It may be the ambient light that the occlusion pass creates is not reflecting off the wall. Reversing the normals might work. Last edited by tP_; 07-29-2008 at 02:50 PM. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Delete the occlusion layer in Render Layers and create a new layer with all objects. I have similar problem very often. Make sure that all needed objects are included in the layer. However, trouble can be caused by something else: - Not correct material - Mental Ray doesn’t like subdivision surfaces. Try to convert them to polygon. Can you take out your scene? I will try it on my maya. When you created a new occlusion layer, a new material was assigned to all selected objects. You have to be sure that occlusion material is assigned to your wall. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks mates. The whole scene is made of polygons. I downloaded some of the furniture from turbo squid and I made sure that it is all poly's baring the bankers lamp. It is working a lot better now but I feel it is slightly to dark. |
