Tires

Hi everyone.

I've just finished Daniel Buck's (Error 404) article on 3dkingdom.org about making tires, and here's my first try. This is supposed to be modeled after a BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A Red. I still need to put the text on the tire though

I'm working on some other tires right now. Does anyone know what kind of tire a Skyline R34 GTR has?

I'd also be willing to make custom rims and tires for ppl who don't have the time.

I got home from school and worked on this yesterday. It is a Bridgestone Potenza RE040 245/40Z/R15. I am going to totaly remake the rim.

That Last Tire has something like 52,000 polys, not counting the rim. The entire scene has +80,000 polys (sad, isn't it--the tire has more polys than the rim!). After I got done with the initial section, I had to switch to wireframe cause my PC got so slow. I'm running 1GB of RAM too!
