| Registered User | Skyline R34 GTR Hi everyone. I'm Chris and this is my first post here @ 3dm-mc. Currently, I'm working on my second car model ever , and I'd like some feedback. It's a SkylineR34 GTR, and I just got done with the main body. I have yet to do the interior and the like. The Wheels and Brakes need work too. This was done using MAX6 only. The last pic has light tracing with bounce setting of 1, intial sample setting of 8x8, and final sample setting of 1x1. It took the computer forever to render it; I'm using a P4 @ 3.06 Ghz, and 1GB of RAM. Again, this is my second try at a car model. Feedback please

| Registered User | Looks great! I started making an r34 a while ago but never finished it. You can find a pic of it in my post under the Works In Progress Section. One thing I would suggest is to add the seams between the body panels. Im not sure how to do that in 3ds max, cuz i use rhino. And maybe some more lights. Anyway, i like your car a lot. Great Work. |

| Registered User | Thanks for your responses everyone. This is a High School Project and it's due in three weeks, so expect some good pics within that timeframe.* To adress the lighting issue: I only have the default renderer at the school, but I'm trying to mimc the settings one would use for Brazil R/S, but that makes it too dark. I think I'm going to need to make a Sunlight and a Skylight in the scene, and add light tracer too. If anyone knows a faster way to render, however, please let me know. To render a good production picture with light tracer could take my school computer +4 hours! *I'll get some wireframes up soon, too.

| Registered User | Hey Again I am writing this as the computer is rendering my latest image. I have put body panels on, and the spoiler. Right now, I'm missing the mounts for the spoiler. I'm not quite sure how the pic will come out, but I'm using a new technique. Currently, the scene is rendering with one skylight and light tracer with zero bounce. If anyone wants me to, I'll post the actual .max file online.
