Talking Peugeot 206 WRC 3rd attempt

Well guys, after my first attempt at modelling a Peugeot 206 WRC, I did lots of research and found lots of pictures of the 206. I realised that it would be best to model the car in separate sections rather than modelling it as one object (polygon modelling) as i did before. These were modelled using Brazil and 3ds max 5.1

And a screenshot showing the doors open. I would like to render this using HDRI but I'm not sure how to set it up. Can someone help me or show me a good tutorial to render cars using HDRI
Thanks!

i have a suggestion.
if for reflection you are using raytrace, in its parameters it has place to change the type of reflecting, from background to a color or to a pic. so choose pic type and select the map that you want for your reflection(spherical type works good in this situation).
hope could help. and if you didnt understand exactelly or you are using reflect/refract map say.

The modeling is great, but renders look realy dull, you need to work on the materials, I'd say more reflective materials and maybe HDRI

Yeah I have VRay, and I have tried HDRI but for some reason it comes up with white dots or splahes at some places I will render it and show you what i mean.

the pug

hi, im new to 3d and decided to model up a peugeot 206 2003 wrc. im trying to model up the monte carlo marcus gronholm car. i want to detail as much as i can, i have been working on this car for 3 months now. roughly 3 hrs a night. ummm feel free to comment. Richard how did you decal up ur car? im having problems with using uvw unwrap or textporter. when i use textporter the mapping is either stretched too long or too high. aynways this is my model of what reference i could find on the net.

cheers
