Hello,this is my first post here!This is my W-I-P-Skyline [modelling done in 3-4 days-around 1 mil polys,no materials yet :mad14: ..]i have a poor system,i'm short on ram memory,only 256..
Here are a few images:,,,... Modelling done in Wings 3d,modo and rended in 3ds max 8 with scanline..yet..

To me, the wireframe image is more attractive than the actual model, but its fine. Will look MUCH better with materials.

what do you mean by that ?the image is attractive ,or the model in wireframe is attractive?does this mean that the model is bad?please if you notice any mistakes or not enough detail post as quickly as you can,cuz i'm planning to finish the body of the car...it is w-i-p,remember...thnx!

What I mean by that is the wireframe image you made looks better than the other two images as it shows more details and personally I like certain wireframes. The modeling is excellent, but what I am trying to say is not much can be made from it yet because it's hard to distinguis what is what cause it is all one color. So it's not a flaw, just something that you yourself noticed and I noticed as well. Great work! Love to see more!

thanx, i almost finished the modelling and that is the reason i posted a clay render to "show-off" the modelling.and don't worry,the materials are ready,the textures too,but ,so little time..i got school too,,,....

Finnaly i have finished the modelling,texturing&co and guess who is now the problem?!RENDERING!!as i told before,i have only 256 RAM memory-and that's too litlle!!!Because of that,mental ray was the only renderer that could render this image...[the other renders restarted my pc or stopped rendering because:"application ran out of memory!".i am a bit ashame of the image,but here goes..[c&c wellcome...plesase]if you know what else could be the problem of the rendering[it rended faceted-as you :mad14: can see..]please post any suggestions..PLEASAE!!
PS:this is only a test render!

I CAN'T UDERSTAND...YOUR other work"DRAGSTER" is so good(the modeling.ligthing.rendering..),..and you say that you have now problem whith this car...in the front side of the body car i see a lot of polygons.may be they aren't smoothed good..i don't know.and why the wheels of the car are black..?keep moove on..:)the mental ray render is too very good render.i like it more than v-ray..:)the work is good..:)
