Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Been a while It's been a while since I updated my 350Z work but I decided to post some more shots for critique so any comments would be greatly appreciated. This 350Z was re-modeled from scratch. Last edited by Xer0123; 04-14-2006 at 10:37 AM.. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey Xer; Nice work so far, I like it. Which software and which modeling tool are you using to make this car? If it is poly modeling, Can you post the smoothed and the unsmothed mesh so we can see how the problems are? Critical parts I see in your model: -The roof -Behind the front wheel -The side windows -The door Keep it up.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Thanks Thanks guys for all your comments I am using MAX7 and I modeling using POLY modeling. for my modeling and yes this is my first attempt at modeling a car the right way as I say. I have only been using max for about 10 months now so I am always quick to ask questions haha. My computer is acting really strange and when I try to render anything now it says in the rendering window "Current Task: Transforming Vertices" and locks up my computer and boost my PC's memory usage to 100% so I am going to restart my PC and try again. Also I would like to know how do I create these gaps between the door and the body and other parts of the car like I circled in this brilliant 3d image? Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Ok Okay I'll try fixing these things up and thanks for your help. My Max7 is still being uncool as it is locking my computer up but I will try to find a fix for that. Does anybody know how to answer my previous question. |

A lot of days ago I read Rub's tutorial about making of car stitches.I you his technology in all my cars. So, lets begin. 1. Select edges 2. Use chamfer with chamfer amount 1.0 3. Select created after chamfer polygons 4. Extrude them for a -0,5 for four times. 5. On some corners edges must be chamfered again.
