Liquid 6 (Concept)

This was up in the original forum but as I see everything was deleted. I am still working on the interior and exterior of the car. I will post the images that were up here before though the model is farther along than these images show. I have since chopped the top to make it a (not sure what their called) the top like the 300zx has. I also added some fender flares instead of the fenders being straight. I will try to get some more recent images up today. These are not final renderings, only a way to view the model in a rendered format with some colors and texture. Rendered realism right now is not a concern of mine. Colors and textures in the interior are very basic and very plain.

FYI: This is my first car model

Here are two pictures of the updates without any textures or colors. I am gonna wait until I get the new 3DS before I render it with colors and textures. The program I am using t orender is just not powerful enough to get the look I want.

I like this concept! It is styled in 70s, right?
Everything is good detailed, but i think that you should change the downer part of the front bumper (the front spoiler)

Very sorry guys, I never got the email that anyone posted. Your right, I was never really going for a futuristic type concept, more traditional for my first, the next will be more modern/ futuristic. I have been told by a few people that the front spoiler looked weird but not sure why. I use WILDFIRE to render but am waiting to get 3DS. WILDFIRE is alright but nothing like 3DS for rendering. Thats why all the renders are pretty basic. I really appreciate the positive feedback, I have seen some unbelieveable models on here so its nice to get good comments. I realize this one isnt as good but from my head and my first car I guess its not too bad. Here is an update to the back of the car. Remember, I am extracting as much out of this rendering program as I can, WILDFIRE is made for modeling mainly, not rendering so I cant do much with it. Plus, I havent even been able to get the damn car to render with the interior installed and textured, I keep getting an error message that the program has to close, not sure what it is. I would sure like to see it rendered in a good program.

thanks again, much appreciated!

What are your suggestions for the front spoiler?

What is it you think looks weird with the front window? I am very open to suggestions.

OK, your modifications to the front end are pretty self explanatory, which lines are your suggested route for the windshield, i get that the white curved line is where the shield should stop but am a little confused on the blue and orange lines. What are you suggesting with the parkling lights. I am assuming you are suggesting making them smaller in the front, same on the rear panel and add some to the side mirrors, is that right?

I really cant update my materials, this is the best I can pull out of my program without my it crashing. I am still yet to figure out how to get it to render with the model fully textured, thats why there are no shots of the interior in the car colored. I just dont ahve the time to really troubleshoot the renders, thats why they are basic.

Thumbs up

Ehh, i meant blue line - is your body + windshield, yellow is mine (how it should be). I think your windshield looks bad when it's flat. make it more round... like this bracket ) :) Btw, i made a mistake, i thought you windsheild is big and it extends from the hood, but... i was wrong :los: that's why i made a blue line, thinking that it is the windshield line.
The front parking lights are good on your model, they shouldn't be like on my pic... (i thought it was a molding ) Yeah i think park. lights on the side mirrors would look very nice

I'm not a pro in 3d software - is Wildfire a program or just a plug-in? If it is a Max plug-in, i advice you to download "Surface blur" plug-in for better renders - this plug-in makes reflections be more realistic! :buttrockx

Ok, I understand what you are saying now. I will make the changes to the body and post when it is done. WILDFIRE is an engineering program, the latest release for Pro-e, pretty much the best engineering/ modelling program of its kind starting at $6,000.00 for the full version but doesnt even come close to 3DS for rendering, as you can see. I am still having the rendering problems when I get the error message "etop.exe has encountered a problem and must close". The regular version of pro-e would finish rendering with this error message but WILDFIRE will not. I'm not sure exactly what it is but looks like I have hit a brick wall rendering with full textures on the model so all my mods in the future will be all grey until I can troubleshoot the problem or get 3DS, whichever comes first.

Updates to follow....
