Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Machine Haven't decided where to go with this yet... gotta go somewhere though. The cylinders that are just kinda chillin on the sides (groups of 6) are going to eventually be soft body cords. Maya 7 and MR. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Update 3 thanks guys... it's eventually going to be some sort of robot ... machine... somethin'. It's fun not having a plan of action. any ideas you might have for an "ankle" joint? I'm thinkin about having it be a ball joint considering that would allow for the most range of free motion, but not sure that it would be strong enough for something like this (if it were real...) I'm open to ideas. *hint hint* Last edited by phix314; 03-05-2007 at 07:44 PM. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Update. I have the idea of how I want the ankle to work, shown here. I need to, and will, add some small, low detail support toes on the back hopefully tomorrow and also get crankin' on the lower leg. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I'm not sure about this design... but I'll work on it later. Modeling this thing isn't a problem, it's the freakin concept that is givin me a bad time. Anyway, lemme know what you think. I think I need to start upping my FG number and messing with the filter size... as you can see some of the edges are a little funky, and I know it's not the alias settings. Yaaaay for render times!! S |
