na man, i wish i could sketch, but stick figure machines don't really help ;) for some of it ill look up images of hydraulic controls, pistons, joints, etc on google and go from there. the rest is just whatever looks like would mechanically work in "real life". theres a few models out there that people have done, so i use the ideas from those.

some bad news, however, i will be leaving the school i am at in about 2 weeks so no more maya till i get back into school and get my own system up and running. im going to try and push and get this thing as done as i can, but i think i may get cut off right as im completing the hip considering how long it has taken me to get this far. :cry:

I've hit a wall. I'm not sure how I want the knee to attach to the hip. Considering how much time I have left with Maya, I will probably not finish much. I may add some secondary detail but that's about it. Here's what I have today, but it shows my lack of ideas, especially in the upper leg portion.

Hopefully I can get it down by the end of this week or like this it will stay for a while. :bad:

Opened up the file and played a little. Added side and supporting pistons. Not sure bout the mechanics but I'll probably add some more later on.

nice work man, i like the detail, i hope you like to texture cause it will be one hell of a job to do it

yea no kidding. ill probably only unwrap the bigger chunks and have simpler shaders on the rest.

Excelent work man ps theres a movie called trancformers in the cinemas by now you should check it out and get some idees from there. Your a god among us all
