| Pro-E WILDFIRE DESIGNER | Liquid 6 Concept I decided to start a new thread for the new design of the car. Here is the first basic sideview shape of the car. The original...all cuts and protrusions: ![]() And the new with surfacing: ![]() Last edited by BLOODY; 12-28-2004 at 07:08 AM.. |

| Pro-E WILDFIRE DESIGNER | No, I dont have 3DS yet, a trade sounds good to me. I have not posted any updates because I have run into another problem with inserting a surface through a boundary cutout. This is preventing me from making small body refinements, inserting my windshield, light assemblies, things like that. I have been working on it but it seems I am wasting so much valuable time trying to figure this problem out rather that moving forward. I will post an update when I finally get one. One more issue I have run into is the side windows. When they are cutout they seem too small for the car but with the design of the side of the body I can't see a way to easily refine them. In the last image I posted it doesnt seem like an issue but the visual changes when they are cut. Does anyone have a suggestion of an easy fix that may take away from the side windows? |

| Pro-E WILDFIRE DESIGNER | Finally I am making some headway on this damn car. I havent posted anymore pics because I wanted to have some actual changes. I should have some on within the next 24 hrs. I have run into a problem getting some parts of the body smoothed out. When I go into hte surface mesh I cannot seem to see the frlaws but they show in shaded view. |

| Pro-E WILDFIRE DESIGNER | A couple more renders of the front end. I realize this model is taking a while but bare with me, it will get done. I just want this one done right the first time. Comments are welcome as always. ![]() ![]() Last edited by BLOODY; 12-28-2004 at 07:06 AM.. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Definitely looks better than your last concept i like more this one, but i can see that you have problems with your mesh in the areas close to the headlights. You are gaining experience with wildfire in surface modeling but it´s also taking a lot of your time to do this model, get a trial version of max, maybe it would help when you compare the max tools with wildfire tools and solve your problems faster  |

| Pro-E WILDFIRE DESIGNER | I know what you mean with the mesh. I am hoping when the model is finished I will be able to go through it and fine tune the mesh to fix all the flaws. The model is taking a while but I really havent had much time to work on it plus I am learning this program as I go. I dont personally know anyone that can surface with WILDFIRE so I am basically on my own. One flaw I am really having a hard time with is the triangular shadow on the bottom of the front clip just behind the fog light. I have looked and looked and cannot find that flaw in the mesh...very mind boggling. I am still waiting on my copy of 3DS which I will get and learn but I need to stick to WILDFIRE also for employment purposes. I am very curious how closely the two programs are when modeling. Thanks for the comment, appreciated. Last edited by BLOODY; 12-28-2004 at 06:11 PM.. |
