Jeep Wrangler

Hey, ive been working on and off and i want to finally get this thing done to my satisfaction, so any and all crits please. the jeep is not exactly like ones you will find refrences with, because i changed some things since i like them better the way i have it, i also was working on an underground garage to use as a scene if you can crit that as well, thanks

ha ya i know, i used a displace map and made my own tire texture in photoshop cuz i figured it would be easier and i couldnt find and tuts about modeling a thick tread, the way the others where i didnt like, and then i have some random rubber tire .mat i found but it clearly doesnt look nice, any suggestions, any crits, please people!

cool man...it gives me impresion that wrangler is a "heavy duty" car :firedevil .But may i suggest you brazil r/s for render? i don't think that you were using brazil when you rendered your car :)

About the only way to get nice chunky tread is to model it. A tread map and bump map is the second best thing. drop me a linehere i have a simple tutorial i can send you i made it myself in an effort to creat a better looking tread :buttrock:

hey well i had worked on the jeep awhile and ened up with this coposition, and then i started to material it in mental ray, and gave an enviroment, let me know what you think of them, mostly i care about the second one since im working on it now... thanks

it looks good man, but i still think your textures could use some work. the headlights in particular. rims and paint look good. also, play with the lighting... once you hone in on that I think it will help tremendously. get some global illum and final gather, than pretty much always improves it by leaps and bounds, imo.
