Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Honda Civic TypeR Street Mod - mikeab7925 i decided to do a Honda Civic as that is what i drive. although i drive a 4th generation civic and this is modeled on 7th. overall i want to make a modified 7th gen SI type-R Civic. this is gonna take some time as i'm a rookie and never done something like this. so if your keeping track or helping, please be patient. any constructive criticism or words of encouragement are welcome. i just started this today and as of now i have the frontend minus the hood. i will post more later. here is the first update: Last edited by mikeab7925; 01-07-2009 at 11:23 PM.. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | update 3: i'm keeping the design basic until i can see the body as a whole. so the mesh is pretty sloppy still. please pardon. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | update 5: i have a couple things yet then i want to clean up the mesh and cut my hood and doors out. question. how can i add a smooth modifier without losing my major lines? like around the lights, doors, windshield, etc.? do i have to chamfer the edges? |

| Member | That's very good for a beginner. However, my suggestion / advice for you is, you should add another parallel and very close 'line' at edges that you want them to be sharp if you want to use meshsmooth / turbosmooth. So far so good, keep it up :) Thanks. Note : You seem to model quite fast. I'm always taking my time when doing something (that's why my entry for TUSC is still in progress (after all, what's the purpose of 'endless challenge' if we don't take our time to do the scene?) |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | thanks Need_Help. i'm modeling this fast just to get to the point where i can look at the body and see what lines i should have created and what lines are good. this is kinda a rough draft for me. after i get the last couple things i wanted and i start to clean up my mesh you'll see this project slooooow down quite a bit. thanks very much for the reply. i will post the last of the rough modeling here in a bit. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | thanks for the move Raider. on another note. i'm trying something different. i will post my works later today. i didn't like how the lower part of the car turned out because of the way i modeled around the wheel wells. it threw off the bumpers. |
