Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Ford Mustang Custom Long before I ever knew what 3d modeling was I was racing my Mustang down the 1/4 mile track and spending every penny pumping up the horsepower. My next modeling project will be my pride and joy, my 1998 Ford Mustang V6. Thats right a V6. I chose the unique route by working with the V6 and not the common V8 platform. It has paid off too, the unique approach has landed me many sponsors and magazine articles. Not to mention im ranked in the top 10 in the country. An accomplishment I could never have with a V8 Mustang. To start off here is my Mustang (real photo) ![]() Here is the modeling so far: (all modeling will be nurbs in rhino then to max later) ![]() ![]() Critque if you wish but no one here knows this car better than I do :) Lots of work to do. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | I made some adjustments to the front bumper to kinda help all of the body kit pieces flow together better as shown with the red lines. I also started making a new wing for it.. sorry no big aluminum wings :) ![]() ![]() |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Nice car of yours and good work on modeling, but as i understood, your goal is to model your own car the most accurate possible, right? but i can see some details that doesn´t match with the actual car, i used the your last render to show you what i mean. (i hope you don´t mind :-)) ![]() Keep us updated. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Thanks for your input... All your points are valid but I have decided that its too difficult for me to model it exactly as it is. I have a 3d modeling job where I use faro arms and 3d laser scanners all day long... Im not very good at making up models without those scanning tools yet, thats why its not looking exactly like my car anymore. Plus... Im kinda making it look how id like mine to look now if I had more money :) |
