First Plane: F/A-22 Raptor

Hi tout le monde. I have some experience in polymodeling, and I usually make cars. I have, how does one put it, a "special order" from a freind to make a F/A-22 Raptor. This is my first plane model, and I was wondering if any "modeling masters" out there have any suggestions or tips?

Also, when it comes time to refine the model (after the basic mesh is finished), is it better to use a bump map or create the seams for the body panels of the plane?

One other thing: are there any good Photoshop tutorials, because right now, I'm still learning it. 2nd year Max student, 1st semester Photoshop student.

Here's the plane so far:

Thanks everyone.
