Concept Car (comments welcome)

This somewhat a WIP in the meaning that it needs to be rendered in a good rendering program. The car is done but I am having a real hard time finding a way to render it out without the program crashing. This was rendered in Pro-E Wildfire. Though Wildfire is a very powerful modelling program, I think there is something wrong with the rendering aspect of it. For some reason, the textures are not showing and the colors are rendering messed up. This car is suppose to be blue. I am using raytracing, have tried everything possible with the settings to get the car to look how it should but nothing seems to work. Is there anyone out there willing to take an .igs file of this model and try to render it with another rendering program that doesnt crash? I have tried to convert it to an .lwo file but when I bring it into Lightwave it is very choppy. I'm in the works of getting 3DS but still dont know if it will transfer to that program. Any help would be appreciated.
p.s. I didnt forget the windshield wipers, they are hidden.

Shitty pics removed

It's a sports car so its suppose to be wide and low with small windows. The texture on the windows isnt suppose to look the way it does, thats just the way it rendered. Remember, none of the textures applied. It takes so long to get it to render and then comes out crappy or sometimes not at all. With all the problems rendering it, it makes it impossible to troubleshoot the model to get it to look real because every render I try after the other looks worse and worse.

Thanks for the input.

try povray

you could try povray www.povray.org it renders pro e files - you'll have to spend a little time learning it but it should render better than pro e can manage - also povray is free so theres nothing to lose by giving it a go

You know, I actually tried that, way too confusing. I did figure out how to get Wildfire to render, the problem is, it shutsdown after every rendering and doesnt save textures so I have to reconfigure the model everytime I want to make changes. Anyway, here are some updates, these are the first couple I have gotten to render out. Quite a bit better I must say, its gonna take me forever to get it to look right because of the time it takes me to make a small change and render it, oh well.

Starting today the entire back clip is going to be redone, I never liked the lights and got too many negatives to back em up so I am gonna go more exotic with it.

After removing the former back clip I dont really see any resemblence to a vette. It does look similar to a lamborghini but all cars look alike in one way or another. I think they would look plenty different if next to each other, especially from a profile.
I'm not sure what you mean about something not looking right, are you talking about a proportion or what?

Remember, these aren't final renderings, just a way to show the car in its current state. Try not to pay a whole lot of attention to rendering flaws.

the rear quarter planel still has the vette shape/look thats where i got that from... no i dont mean renderin, the shape of the car itself, now that i think about it... its the front end of the car the hood/front end comes up to high when it meets the car @ the front windshield but dont get me wrong its still a bad ass lookin car.

You are right. I actually addressed this issue a while back but kinda put it on the back burner. I think the reason I did was because from a profile it looks right but from every other angle it looks too high. Now that you point it out again I will fix it.

Thanks for the advice. Glad you like the car.

I just started today on the interior and already had a major setback. I had to cut off the top of the car so I could model the dash. This is probably not how you do it in 3DS but these programs are a little different. After spending about 3 hours on the interior and being about 80% done with the dash and center consol, I desided to see what would happen if I deleted the original cut of the roof as if I were done with the interior. This is the way I was planning on doing it the whole time, cut the top, make the interior, delete the cut of the top. Come to find out, I mistakenly used a body line as a reference from the cut roof and didnt know it so when the cut was deleted, so was all the interior. I am just gonna start over now and make the interior from the outside of the car and assemble it.
