Chevorelet Camaro Concept

Hi all i m new to 3d & on 3dm3 too. i thought to post something i did. I have limited knowledge of 3d stuff so expect mistakes from me. Almost finished this model. i m posting it for corrections. I m learning materials & lightining for studio renders. I'll appreciate if anyone can help me with that. C&C are welcome. Some Clay renders for now.

Nice model. The only thing that I see is on the front drivers side fender, it looks like maybe some polys are overlapping, or something. The wheels are a bit too skinny and be mindful of the Symmetry modifier. You have two gas tanks.

Nice model though. I am also currently working on a camaro.

Here is a link to a tutorial about studio lighting that I did.

http://www.3dm3.com/tutorials/noobs/studio_lighting/

Good luck!

your tutorial? it's a joke? unrealistic lighting and reflections, too dark... your studio lighting is for noob by a noob ...

here it's a studio render with mental ray (more realistic than yours):

I am sorry that you feel that way. But that doesn't mean that it is a bad tutorial. I have gotten much more positive feedback from that tutorial than I have others. I created that tutorial for beginners to learn the steps of setting up a studio lighting render.

Just because you may have not gotten the correct results, doesn't mean that the tutorial is bad.

I have been modeling for over 4 years, but if you think you could make a better one, go ahead.

I am trying to give back to the 3d community. I have since written many, many tutorials that can be seen all over the web.

You do have some skills, but don't let yourself get stuck-up. There will always be someone better than you; and I for that matter.

Tu veut qu'on compare nos travaux?

Some Progress...

ok guyz, I heaven't find much time to render this beast. so finally some progress with rendering. i hope you will like them. C&C are welcome.

@Bob911: Dude it wasn't a bad tutorial afterall. you can learn lightining setup very easily with that tutorial. I agree with loebedoe. Everyone have their own points of view but discouraging someone isn't a proper way. cheers.

btw i saw your render. you have some skills you can help me with rendering, lightining & materials to finish my beast. i will appreciate it.

Awsome renders man. I havent had time to work on mine much. I am finished with the body but I still have the wheels and render.

The only thing I noticed is that the pics looked grainy, or anti-aliased. That is because they are .jpgs.

Good job with the camaro!

Silent Storm - cool car I made it too. I`d like to help you if you are using V-ray, cos mentalRay is not my friend now

3dhuntsville - Actually I was surprised at first time looking at your tut for mental studio....It`s just kind of shame to agree with Bob911....but his comment has some true
