| Member | I would suggest that you model the car doors, bumpers, windows etc. 'disconnected' from the car body, so that its easier to correct when there is any mistake, as well as easier to be 'textured'. Not bad for a beginner, keep it up ;) Btw, this reminds me of my First car modelling attempt, and an unfinished WIP :P http://www.3dm3.com/forum/wip-transp...le-1300-a.html Thanks and good luc :) |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hey, ur car's rli coming out nicely man, jus need to fix a few bumps here and there. Now as for the materials (colouring) im not that good but i advise u to use the material that ships with 3ds max 9. its rli quite amazing. I think if u have a good environment u can easily work on the materials. U could also try download the material given by the user Pendzel in his website (jus search google for vray car shaders) but u need vray for that. As for the wireframe, u can just take a screenshot of the wires in the workspace in 3ds max or u can make a material with the wire option turned on. there is a tutorial on www.3dnuts.com for wireframe renders with mental ray. (btw wire renders only work with mental ray as far as i know. I may be wrong). Gd Luck cant wait to c it finished!! |
