I'm unable to open the .3ds of Porsche 997 GT3 RSR model with 3ds max. The message "File open failed" is the best I get. Shouldn't the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR .3ds open with 3ds max ? Or is the file corrupted?

You have to import the .3ds file, rather than going to file open.
