| Half Life 2 TC Mod - Modelers & Level Designers/Mappers needed Hey everybody, I was refered to 3dm3 from ConceptArt, by a few of the prominent members. Said there's a lot of talent over here. Anyways, I'm currently in the pre production stages of a heavy Sci Fi Half Life 2 TC (Total Conversion) Mod and am in need of some level designers/mappers & character modelers. I've already got the majority of the story/plot written and some concept art together (10+ Characters - Heavily Detailed, 10+ Enviornments interior & exterior) for the project, and a lot more on the way. It's a non profit project, more of a vanity project. The majority of the team I have so far is doing it for free and to help flesh out their portfolios, being a mod it's non profit from the start. Anyone who contributes gets full credit for their work, and retains rights to it and all that jazz. The website will be launching in about a month (and everyone on the project will have their own allocated space on the server to showcase personal work not related to the project as well as work related to the project showcased on the main site) Basically the only real requirements for the Modelers are that you can model characters between 5000-8500 Polygons (Main characters at 8500, enemies at around 5000-7500 depending on how many will be on screen at a given time, size and their function in the story) & that you use XSI, 3DSMax, or Maya. Modeling includes mesh construction, texturing, lighting, etc. For level designers/mappers, the only requirement is that you know how to use the Valve Hammer Editor and what not. Working with anyone from ameaturs to seasoned vets, if you'd like to know more about the project, plot, characters, etc and possibly contribute, feel free to send an e-mail to ContraStudios@gmail.com if possible attach or link some examples of your work as well. Thank you for the interest, and good luck with all of your future projects! Last edited by Chris.; 04-24-2007 at 04:20 AM.. |
