Freelance Job Opportunity

Hi everyone, I know there's knowledgeable professionals here and I'm hoping one comes forward with a solution to a little problem we're having. Currently we're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in programming, scripting, etc. We are a studio that works on 3d architecture, and our models have to be very precise as you can probably already imagine. We deal with a lot of these models on a daily basis, so we have a ton of models in our database. The problem is, one of our studio's outside contractors, was recently discovered, to have made some serious mistakes on his work. Unfortunately, the problem wasn't caught until recently, therefore many, many, models done by him have very serious errors that are unacceptable to our clients. The clients require for all vertices at the base of the architecture models to be no lower than the grid. This contractor however, placed some vertices below the grid, and this is no good obviously. At this point we don't know how many of his models have these errors, but checking them all in a 3d program one by one is out of the question (we deal with hundreds of models).
Essentially, what it comes down to is this, we need a programmer to create a script or utility to look through .obj files, check if there are vertices below 0 in world space (Y axis for Maya/XSI; Z axis for Max), and essentially take those vertices and reset them to 0. A script or utility like this will be able to fix any models in .obj format that have incorrect vertices (vertices with negative coordinates vertically). Of course, if you have a better idea/utility for completing this task, please feel free to inform me that there is a better way. If any experienced programmer has such a solution, or can come up with such or similar solution, please PM me with more information and rates for such a job, and I will be more than happy to give you more details and information. Thanks again to anyone who is interested.
