Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Animator To help us breathe life into the characters for our latest next generation game, we are currently looking for a animator to join our talented character team... This is a great opportunity to work for an award winning studio and help in creating the most stunning looking and believably animated characters for one of our eagerly awaited upcoming AAA titles. Applicants are required to have an understanding of all animation principals, have a good eye for natural human motion and the drive to recreate this in game, using our in-house character pipeline. Experience in optical motion capture and/or a knowledge of Autodesk Motion Builder and Maya would be a big plus, but a passion for games and a creative mind is essential! You don't have to be experienced in the games industry to submit work to us. We are very happy to see work from graduates or from anyone that has a creative flare and strong passion for animating realistic 3d characters. Requirements: Obviously, we are looking for specific qualities in you to fulfill the role of therefore, if possible, we'd like your CVs to include certain assets: • Animated sequences (in a file format usable within Window's Media Player) displaying your ability to create character animation, demonstrating a sense of posing characters and timing. • Animated sequences displaying your knowledge in facial animation and lip synching. • Examples of any of your 2d and 3d artwork. This could include any sketches or story boards you have done. • Any experience you have in Motion Builder and/or working with motion capture data would be a bonus but is not essential. • Your CV should show your creative interest in the motion of humanoid characters. We don't need to see all the work you've ever done but remember your initial application is based on the work you send, so think carefully about the work you include. We get an awful lot of CVs to look through. Presentation isn't important and a selection of folders on a disk is fine. (Websites are great if they're easy to navigate and show images at a high res, but often they are confusing with small pixelated images!) Task to complete We ask many of our applicants to work on a small task in order to further demonstrate their ability. The Bizarre Creations animation task is now available online for any potential applicants to complete. It's also useful to help develop your skills, so check it out! Things we like to see... • Enthusiasm; a real love for the work. • Talent - this is far more important than qualifications for us! • Commitment to both the product and the team. • The ability to see a project through to the end. • Ability to work under time pressure • An honest CV, and a good demo/samples of work.
