Brief description:
Divine is a third or first person based shooter integrating RPG elements where you can create the looks of your character and develop him/her into a fighting style of your choice. You can be an up-close Brute fighter wielding plasma swords, a scientist using objects around you and technology to battle, a marksman using laser guns to strike from a distance, or a mix of all three, you have the power to create your character to your own liking.

Divine will include action-oriented gameplay while still maintaining an engaging storyline. All skills and combat are animation heavy, bringing flash and excitement to battles, all brought onto an epic scale where some battles have you fighting alongside many troops.

Target aim:
Retail would be ideal, but we are mainly aiming for an innovative fun game to play. If this gets made the right way, there is no reason I won't go retail though.

Compensation:
We have no compensation other than work experience and a fun project. You will be offered percentages and royalties should the game sell.

Technology:
We are custom building an engine with Open GL and C++. We already have an extremely skilled programmer working on this, but of course he could use a hand. This is your chance to build something from the ground up. The engine will be industry/indie standard, so normal artist and other programming tools apply.

1 More Designer/Writer
This position can either be filled by someone to help further the story and/or write dialog. It can also be filled by a co-designer that can contribute ideas and/or systems implentation.

1 Programmers
Must have knowledge of C++ and OpenGL. If you have any programming skill at all in these areas, contact me and we can work something out.

Artists
We are looking for an unlimited amount of artists, 2D, 3D, concept, animators, modelers, whatever you do, it is helpful at this point. If you enjoy drawing or creating sci-fi/futuristic things, this is a job for you.

Additional Info:
You are a divine agent sent by God to stop the current war on earth. The enemy is using technology that is unknowingly creating gates to hell and unleashing hordes of demons across the earth. Your job is to unite the forces still pure and find your missing brethren before launching a final mission into the enemy and then into Hell itself. Of course, the story is more involving and epic than this, but as for a quick rundown, this serves its purpose!


We are currently in a complete design stage. The document is not even 5% finished and development on our engine has barely begun. This is an opportunity to truly be with a project from the ground up, to help implement your own ideas.
