After Effects Compositor: Cardiff, UK

Dinamo Productions is an innovative animation production company based in Cardiff, UK, producing high quality 2D and 3D digital animation, visual effects and design for TV, film and the web.

We’re looking for talented After Effects Compositors to begin work this year on two live action/animated series; previous production experience preferable but not essential. Multi-skilled applicants are encouraged and knowledge of After Effects’ 3D environment is required.

The successful applicants will be team players, be flexible in their work practises, can rise to the challenge of new techniques and can produce animation to the quality expected within tight deadlines. The jobs are on-site at our Cardiff studio.

Job Requirements:

• Working with timed animatics and storyboard edits.
• Compositing and rotoscoping CG animated characters into live action environments.
• Producing accurate greenscreen keys and spill removal.
• Setting up 3D set extensions with After Effects.
• Colour space management.

Main software packages and skills:
Adobe After Effects, Keylight, Trapcode Particular, Adobe Photoshop, multi-pass rendering.

Understanding of the following would also be an advantage:
3D Studio Max.

Initially this will be for short term contracts but with the opportunity of further work as the project progresses. These are paid positions, rates based on ability.
