3D Artist wanted for in house University Production Company

Seminole Productions, the award winning "in house" production company in the College of Communication at Florida State University has an immediate opening for a 3D Artist.

This is a brand new full time career service position created for Seminole Productions by the University and includes a benefit package. Artist must be willing to relocate to Tallahassee, FL., ASAP.

Salary Range: 28k – 32k depending on experience

The work: We take on production and graphics work from departments on the FSU campus. We bid on local government and State of Florida production projects. One of our largest clients is the Athletic department at Florida State. We produce all the FSU coaches shows, which appear on local, regional and national cable channels in addition to weekly sports and magazine shows. We provide graphics for the live game day experiences and video boards in all our sports venues on and off campus (Football, Basketball and Baseball).

Job Requirements: Four year degree from an accredited College or University (BA or BS in Graphics, Traditional Arts, Video/Film Production, Business, Management, etc., etc.) or a Diploma /Certificate from a specialized program in Computer Graphics and Animation from an institution such as the "Dave School" or "Full Sail" and 2 years experience in 3D Graphics production. Real world experience can substitute for educational requirements.

Skills Required: Working knowledge of Lightwave 3D v9+ and Maya 8 and above, Adobe After Effects 7+ and Photoshop CS2 and above for production of 2D and 3D elements and character animation. Experience with Final Cut Studio and or Avid editing software a plus.

Must be personable and willing to work with clients and students.
