Military in your blood: M-10 wolverine by japa

M-10 wolverine by japa

Buy or View 3d models >>

For references, M-10 is a US Army tank destroyer from WWII. This is a hyperdetailed model with complete interior, guns, ammunition, engine...

Low poly models.

How to understand this reference? What about low poly models, have they any chances?

Well, finally I can enter in Forum (I only read forums up to date: this is my first post)
(for Striker) About my M-10 model, is a very high poly model: 561000 points and 586000 polys: I can't convert for low poly (LW have a option for, but they results a chaotic wireform). Of course if any needs a lowPoly I can make (isn't a problem; I solve all problems in HighPoly version) but I make this model for my pleasure, and I love the detailed meshes.
By the other hand, If any needs a M-10 only for exterior renders I make interior, engine, ammunition... in separate layers, and is a very simple work erase from scene

Humm, A panzer IV... yes, it's possible: I remind the M-10 can beat him (by the other hand, if you want make a tiger or panther my wolverine is defenceless and impotent)

I love also the Panzer IV series. What version makes you, G, H?

I'm working on a Panzer IV Ausf. F. I wanted to make a tiger first, but I couldn't find any appropriate references. I wanted to buy a model kit of it, to have some good references, but the store did not have it in stock, so I gotta go with this one. Anyway, I prefer this one more, since it has a lot more details to work on.

very very impressive...modelling work !
what do you use as reference pictures...do you have actual blueprints ?

If I may point a minor flaw, I think you should work your maps as one paints modelkits...especially as in the so-called weathering painting phase ...

I know i am only a poor geek trying to reach the 10th of your modelling ability...but gifted as you are...yhou should pay attention to the slightest details..

you can do definitely better on rendering !

Well, I use blueprints of M-10 and M-36 and also pictures of real tanks and resin models (Academy); for interior detail I find a lateral blueprint about and download a lot of pictures of M-10 and Classic M-4 sherman (they are same basic interior) in this site

http://www.chars-francais.net/

By the moment I don't think in make more uploads of this vehicle, because I'm modeling the Pizarro, and I want end this for contest also. If I have time... Of course I accept all suggestions about. You have some reference for texture work (links, pictures,, turorials...)?

For render I use a spotlights dome for basic lighthing and a direct light for shadows. I want a evening style ilumination. You think in radiosity dome style? or another?
