Question Upgrade Time

Its about time i upgraded me computer as i will soon have around 350GBP to spend on it, so i thought id ask what ya all think.....
My current specs are:
* AMD Athlon 1.1Ghz
*256mb Ram (SD)
*G4Ti 4200 gfx card
*20gb H/Drive

Should i go with AMD again or try a Pentium4, and should i get 512mb DDR Ram or would it be worth gettin 1GB? (if i not gunna be able to tell differnce then i will just get 512)

AMD Athlon - FOREVER and 1GB RAM is better. I think!

I have AMD Athlon 1.2GB, 265 Ram, 40GB HDD, Geforce4 MX 64MB.

I agree with stryker - get loads of RAM. You'll thank yourself later.

Later.

I'd go for a P4. AMD's have a low FSB (266MHz), P4's are from 400MHz to 800MHz. Upgrade your SDRAM to DDR- SDRAM transfers at xxxMB @ 100MHZ - DDR transfers from 300MHz to 500MHz.

Yeah, the more RAM the better.
I never used an Athlon before, but I was using a Celeron. I now have a P4 3.20ghz and man let me tell you, this bad boy smokes.

Intel P4 3.20ghz Hyper-threaded with 800mhz Front Side Bus.
2 Gigs of RAM (expandable to 4 gigs)
128 MB GeForce FX 5200
200GB HDD ;O)

C'mon Boys I Was Thinkin You Guys Would Have A Better Taste (And A Deeper Pocket).
I Would Like:
Dual Xeon II @ 3000 Mhz With 2Gig DDR 400 Mhz Ram And Intel 750 Chipset (or Beter). Or You Could Try SGI .

And Believe Me This Will Burn Your Ass.
