| Supreme Digital Artist | Problems with graphic card Yesterday I had to make a clean install of a new OS on my laptop so I did but I have problems with the graphic card driver. I have installed windows 7 and there are some incompatibilities with the current driver that windows 7 has installed. There are no problems now, except the aero theme isn't working, so the GC is working but it says from time to time there are issues with the driver. I fear that it will make a lot of problems when I install max/photoshop. I bought him in January 2008. If anyone can help me, please do so, because I am tiring to fix him before summer vacation so I would have something to do on vacation. And here are general information about him: Sony VAIO (VGN-FZ31S) 2.8Kg magnesium case CPU: Intel Core 2 duo (T8100) @ 2.10Ghz MEMORY: 2GB ddr2 SDRAM GC: nVidia GF 8600M GS HDD: 250GB SCRN: 15.4" (1280x800) OPTIC: BD/DVD/CD re-writer Thanks. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Take a look at my name and my avatar and you'll know that the Radeon HD 4870 is my specialty. I can tell you right off the bat what the problem is. You're running (probably a cheap and crappu) 450W power supply when ATi gives 500W as the minimum you should be using. |
