need overclockable CPU+MB for modeling/rendering - whats your recomendation?

hey all,
I need to do some architectural modeling and rendering (basic) in rhino, maya and max. I also want to do some video editing.

What CPU and motherboard do you recommend?
What is the best value for my budget $300-400?

Intel vs. AMD? Dual vs. Single core? Also definitely going to overclock.

Thanks,
J

The best thing you can do is buy as many ram as you can, this will speed up your system more than if you buy an new CPU + mobo...this because your pc can put all off the data on the memory... more is better and faster

The best option for the CPU is an dual core...and the option for the mobo is any mobo that support dual core and can support alot of memory ( RAM )
I have an dualcore AMD and it works perfectly, the mobo is from Asus very good stuff.

Sorry for my bad english, I hope that I have helped you a bit
