Question Higher system Ram or Video RAM

I am purchasing a new pc.

is 1GB DDR RAM 400 Mhz and GeForce FX5200 with 128 MB is better

or

512 MB DDR RAM 400 Mhz and GeForce FX5200 with 256 MB

i have kind of cash shortage Help me out.

as said by my friend. bigger ram speeds up ur rendering time. bigger vedio cards speeds up ur viewports actions.

I'd say the 1GB DDR RAM, thats what I'm running now. My old system had 512MB PC100 and it makes a major difference. I tend to have multiple apps open, Max6, Photoshop7, ACDSEE32, and all the regulars (Mozilla, Outlook, yada yada yada)

more ram is always better for overall pc performance unless ur doing some really heavy graphic work the 128 should do fine
