Cool graphics card

what is the best graphics card for 3dsmax so that it can run smoothly and fast without any unwanted delay. the card should be fast enough to render raytraced objects, highly detailed objects with multiple lights.should i choose nvidia cards or Ati radeon cards. money is not much of an issue.the price limit is okay till 400 to 450 dollars.

I would prefer Nvidia 7000 Series PCIe Cards or 6200 series chipsets over ATIs with atleast 256 mb video memory and over 1 GB of RAM! :bounce4:

Graphic card influences on speed in viewports. For fast renders you should by a lot memory and nice, fast processor.

Wink

dear gokulpanchal_3d,the speed of rendering depends first (75 %) on your processor and your ram ,,,,,, so for vga card you just need a good vga card not a superior one ,i suggest you the following nearly suits your money:) :

for agb 8x : nvidia 5900 or ati radeon 9600 xt
for pci xpress ; nvidia 6600 ultra or ati radeon x600xt
;))))))))

ild suggest ATI Radeon with atleast 256MB-128BIT. Ive actually used NVidia before with the same BIT and MB like the ATI Im using now and I tried rendering hair in geometry with FG on to test out the speed and it took lots of hours to complete. but now with ATI it is faster, wont even take half an hour to complete a nice scene.
