| Lightwave Enthusiast | For me that's way too hot, but honestly that's about normal. I prefer my system to be as cool as possible. If it running that hot worries you, you could invest in a water cooling system. I have an Evercool and my CPU at idle is 21C, running programs it's 28C, and using Lightwave and rendering it's about 33C- but that's just me. You could try setting up the fans differently to reduce system temp; like fans in the front of the case intaking cool air, and the fans in the rear expelling it, but that won't affect your CPU temp much if any at all. Hope this helps. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Hey Matt_D_C...Thanx for the advice, you have put me at ease knowing that those temps are normal. I reckon I am going to go look around this weekend for some extra fans, just to make sure that it doesn't fry. Thanx once again! |

| just for fun | Hi! I didn't have a pentium, i have an amd atlon xp. But my normal temperatures are 46, 50-52 for gaming, and 60-62 for rendering and 3dsmax. It's haven't blown up yet, but i think i will buy a larger cooler:)
