A 100% Noobs Questions

Hello. I just joined this site and in general I am new to 3D modelling/animation/etc. Recently I've been trying to work on a video and due to plugins costing so much had to improvise by combining sony vegas fireworks and cinema 4D. Sadly my laptop was a gaming laptop and i found out fireworks uses a crap ton of power. I ended up fking up my laptop to some degree. It's still usable just has fun little errors. THANKS FIREWORKS >.>.

So the obvious question is, What would you guys recommend for a new computer, preferably laptop so i can work between classes at college. It would be used for video editing, photo-editing, 3d modeling, and all that good stuff. Also, If you wouldn't mind maybe throwing in a guide of programs saying like "Start learning this and then learn this." If something like that is alrdy on the forums just say "search on forums" and I'll look for it when I have some free time. I dont have alot of time for computer for next 3 days. So wanted to try and skip some searching lol.

Thanks for your help,

The Complete Noob
