Tutorials for Beginner?

I'm looking for some tutorial to cover the real basics of 3D Max. I want to do car models from blueprint drawings for rFactor. For those of you who don't know, rFactor is a very editable racing video game. The models will be relatively low poly as far as most models go. I have pretty much no knowledge of Max or most any 3D program for that matter. I want to learn how to get started and the basics of the program and also would like to learn car modeling, wheel modeling, suspension modeling, and texture mapping. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Some good tutorials I can use in there, Thanks. I'm also looking for some good spline modeling tutorials if anyone has any. I'm told that is the correct way to model a game car.
