| Registered User | Add a TurboSmooth modifier to the plane with Iteration number:2. Then make 3 Vray lights. One on the right side ,one on the left size, one in the middle which rays the "ceiling" of our new smoothed plane:) You can play with the mulitpliers and colors of each light. It is imortant that the light in the middle is just a "simple" light, which means, it plays just for GI, so uncheck the "Affect specular" checkbox. Each light must have the subdivision at 20 value, to get a clear lightning with clear shadows, too. The scene has to be like on the thumbnail... |

| Registered User | Here comes the render settings. Choose Vray, and go to the Renderer tab. First we make a test setting for the render, to check that everything is good and we like it. I don't wanna write everything so I attached a picture...(I downloaded from another tutorial, to not the make a Print screen again )Don't forget to check the Show calc. phase, beacause whith that you can see some kind of "before-results" and if you don't like that then you can stop the render:) Last edited by buddy32; 11-11-2007 at 03:04 PM. |

| Registered User | And here are the final settings if we were satisfied with the results. It is important to do the test settings first, because the vray and a GI needs a lot of time, and when we spend a lot of time, and didn't get the expected results, it is annoying;) |

| Registered User | That's it It is important that do the last step on the final test, image. You can get it if you choose System at the bottom (in the Renderer tab) and there you click on the light settings... button. You can change the setting of course if you want to. For example, U can use a quasi monte carlo instead of light cache or irradiance map. What I explained is just a very good settings, but everybody can play with the settings to get better results... |
