Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Spline Vertices Hello all, Hopefully this is a simple question. In edit spline by vertex. When I use snap to, in create line, I find that some of the the vertices that I have just added with refine won't appear as a snap to point. What i'm trying to do is the bonnet on a car model, and when i'm dividing it with refine, the points act as if they aren't there. I will also be using a surface modifier. I'm using Max 5. Any suggestions to why it does this? Last edited by NAD; 02-03-2004 at 10:33 AM. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | if so, click this little button here to turn it off. when its turned on, it basically just shows you the final result of your model after all the modifiers have been applied. when you have a spline cage, and have applied a surface modifier, gone to spline edit mode, with the button below turned on, 3dsnap (with vertex checked in it's settings) will only snap to vertices in the mesh after the surface modifier's been added. real stupid, i know, hope they'll change this in the next release... Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks the_solidshadow, But, it's not to do with showing the end result, I have discovered that it is something to do with the snap settings, for some reason it doesn't jump to the vertices it jumps to the grid points or other vertices???!!?!? I'm I missing something other than a brain here? I'm on Max 6 now and it still does the same thing. |
