True, i've wondered that. Is it possible to use reactor and still have your own key frames affecting the object before and after the reactor simulation has took place?

For instance on this car idea, having him walk up to the speeding car, and then the simulation taking over?

Whenever I try to do this, the simulation takes over the entire lot, though I just had a thought that there is probably a selection tool to select what frames to perform the simulation on...

Try adding some RBcollectors to the character and some other object (moving preferably) and then add a ragdoll constraint to the character. I have been doing some recent tests with Reactor and I'm learning alot to it now. You can then go to Reactor's preview animation and see if the character falls and bounces around like a rag doll....I'm still not sure if you have to rig the character but my guess would be yes.

Hello every one
I am writing a tutorial that how to use (Reactor) (Hinge) and (Ragdoll) in this tutorial I will show you the complete using of these 2 mentioned (Reactors) in the scene, I am writing this tutorial because of having allot of mails and questions from the people, so I decided to write this tutorial for those who really need such kind of simulation.
I added the final image of mine here, the model is not included in the tutorial because I am going to use it some where else to simulate her, so in this tutorial I am going to give you just structure for our simulation and the few pairs of stairs to Ragdoll fall upon.
If you have any comments and suggestion to complete this tutorial I will be happy to hear from you, comments, feedbacks, suggestions, questions are welcome.

just mail me to------> a_k517@hotmail.com

And the another side I am also working on another tutorial that how to create a realistic looking simulation of (Flag) in 3ds max in this tutorial we will learn how to use 3ds max (Flex) to create flag and then you can excrement your own pace to use it in different projects, here you will see the end render of (Flag).

Here is the result of my rendered images the flag is final render but the (Reactor) Ragdoll is not the final render she need some more tweaking to look more realistic in simulation.

So I hope you will enjoy doing these tutorials when it’s published in the site here.

Here are the images of the tutorials below.

Regards
