Rendering problem with planes

When I render a plane (for example glass) it shows up very transparent, no matter what opacity the material has. Help? (3dsmax9)

planes have 2 sides one is the color side and the other is called normals make sure the color side is facing you when you render because sometimes the render will not render the plane when the normals side is faceing you. or in the matirial editor make sure check the 2 sided option. i hope this helps. (and plz correct me if im wrong anyone)

i think it may also depend on the glass material used. some are designed for use with a plane. i think there are thin and solid transparency glass materials.

Thanks, making the material 2-sided worked. I'll be able to keep it going for a while now.

oh, and another question about plane

Is there a way to put multiple materials on one? Same question for the box.
