Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Rain, + it hitting the ground Hey I'm looking for a good tutorial on rain and someting for making it splash(probably material wise) on hard objects. I do now have a very nice rain, normal spray, but as soon as I move the camera through it, some droplets come to close to the screen, looking like cones, which really lets the 'future' viewer concentrate on it, so to speak. So the rain I can only use from a distance. Perhaps I could move the emitter with the camera, havent tried the result yet, but it seems somewhat eleborite. So, can I change the cones to another shape? or does anyone know where I can find a plugin (and for the splashes) - another option is to make an avi file in aftereffects, sort of random noise splashing, and put that in the material but again.. to complicated. So please help, I would apriciate it. :super: greetz! Klaas |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey For rain hitting in a puddle of water(or any water for that matter) it works very good to make an animated bumpmap of just some circels, growing and fading out at a certain speed. Very nice. Now hard objects.. Further the rain, see below, (low jpg) environment, I feel like I'm hitting the 'feel' finally, especially with this software, perhaps it's better to post this on WIP, but here the rain from afar looks good, the camera is standing outside the particles system. But I need to do other shots with the camera moving around a bit. I do need some C&C about certain aspects about it. I don't need to go into diffirent renderers yet, but I'm learning stuff while producing this, so I'm very pleased...yek.. talking to much, I feel like explaining everything to the 3d artists around here.. the trash container I picked up somewhere online.. to eager to get result, and not very learnfull, only takes time so.. ok..
