Rep Power: 0 ![]() | PLZ Help...don't know what to do (VRAY interior scene). Hi everybody. As a last shot after many hours of exhausting any resources I need help because I don't what to do else... I'm trying to better understand VRay and to apply in my future work so I follow every tutorial and repeat step by step, experimenting, making different modifications.... the tutorial at wich I am simply blocked is this one : http://www.vray.us/vray_tutorials/re...tutorial.shtml and I can't understand what author want to do in step 3.2. : ""3.2. Go to the Material Edtior and put the default VRayMtl in one of the slots (it shows up as being used in the "Environment" in the Material/Maps browser). 3.3. Make the diffuse color of the material RGB (200,200,200)."" I just simply can't understand what was done there. I must mention that I had achived similar results only modifying in Environment and Effects ->>Exposure Control ->>Logarithmic Exposure Control. Can someone explain the point 3.2.... THX. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi, I think that this point is only to explain you how the color of the materials affect the whole scene ( because if a photon bounces in a white surface, it will give more brigtness to the objects around, and if the object is black, it will absorbe all the light of the photon, and the scene will look dark ), so, if you put whitest materials in your scene, they will bounce the ligth across the scene. This is why the tutorial says you to put a material "cuasi-white", to let you see how the brightnes or the darkness of the materials affect the scene. |
