Rep Power: 0 ![]() | spline modeling Hi my friend, newbe in spline modeling? I pratice with that wonderfull way to modelise for 4 mounth now. I think it,s the best an acurate way to modelise. for your question... When you modelise with spline, you have to imagine your work in a squeleton modele, you have work the same way if you modelise in real with thin metal wire, i don't now if you follow me. It's very hard to work with spline for the first time, it"s not like box modeling where you can see youre shape grow in full 3D in front of your eye. So imagine wire go all around your care, try to figure out whitch one go all around and the one follow just the shape of your car's profile. The most importante it,s to have ALWAY!!! a combination of 3 or 4 vertex to form a polygone, if not it wan't work when you aply your surface tool. To join your vertex, you select the vertex you wan't to join and press on the "fuse" button or "weld" button. After that you rigth clik a vertex, stay on top of it and select the way you want the vertex to work, besier corner, besier, corner or smouth. ANd yes you have to push your vertex inside or outside to form your shape. It's a very tough job to manage spline modeling, but if you understand the way to work with it, your modeling skill going to take a big turn. Sorry for my bad english, hope that i help you with my "somekind" of tutorial Ciao man!!
