How to get started?

I have some experience with Blender and now I want to try 3ds MAX, but I can't find any "getting started" tutorials (prefferably video).

With Blender it's easy to find video tutorials for begginers, but for 3ds MAX there are nowhere to be found.

So where are they?

http://www.expertrating.com/coursewa...nimation-1.asp - a little something about animation in max

http://web.cs.wpi.edu/~cs400x/d98/tut1.html - something about max's interface

you can also read your 3ds max help files , it helps a lot , and it has some neat tutorials too

This free 101 course by eric macouski is great, it explains in high detail most basic concepts over the course of 28 10-15 minute videos, highly recommended. plus you can download them and if you name them appropriately you can refer back to them if/when you get stuck trying to do something since he goes over many different concepts and points out many glitches and errors which can occur.

they're not in order but easy to find

i also recommend the organic modeling series by eric macouski found on the same link, page 3 i think. these two series are very useful for begginer MAX-ers.
