And next question: How i can do perfect smooth model without turbosmooth, smooth or mesh smooth. All this tools take time, render is slowly and of course alterations are harder. | |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hey. for your turbo smooth problem there is a way. when you usbo or mash smoot 3d max not just making a smooth serfece its multiplaying your quads by for, so with evry turbo smoot you have 4 times more polygons. if you want to avoid that you wont get as smoot serfece but you will get pritty much same result. you dont need to use edge thikening in that option, all you need to do i set up smooth groups which you will find in polygon menu. i cant explain to you how it works without tutorial. but basicly you give different smooth groups to different polygons to make them smooth to each other or sharp. you can google smooth groups or look at you tube there are lots of tutorials on that topic |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | You're right, smooth groups are perfect, I started use them some time before, but my problem was unlikely reflecting lights. That problem is handled now (I add subdivision on the light modifier panel). But thank's for help, and sorry for my English :D |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The proportions of the references do not match. Could someone tell me how to get them to match please? I'd like to model the Normandy, but I can't do it with wonky refs. The reference tutorial linked to doesn't help, it only deals with setting up the refs, not making out-of-proportion images match each other. How is everyone else managing to do it? Thanks |
