Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Great job on this tutorial, just what i was looking for. The Normandy rules ![]() But did you creating all the texture with the single 1 you introduce in the start of the tutorial? There seems to be alot more than just 1 image file used for the different materials, shown in the material editor. Is it possible you could either make a tutorial on how you created the different materials, or supply the different image files used, so i myself can try and reverse engineer, so i also can create a copy of this epic ship. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Ship textures. I used the texture for the base and added text and red lines on top of it in photoshop, i used that verysae texture for bump map as well. yes i will work on the texturing tutorial next time where i will show the baics of mental ray renderer and its materials |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Nice tutorial, i've started working on the Normandy SR-2 just a few days ago. Though the model is quite hard to get done without too many pinching on the curved hull. Also i discovered a nice way to get "blueprints" for the new normandy, as they are nowhere to be found on the internet. Currently i've finished the main hull (mostly) and the engine intakes since im new on these forums i cant post a link to my thread, you can find it though over at the 3dtotal forums, just look in the 3D - 'Work In Progress - Inorganic models/scenes' section. let me know what you think |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | i actually liked the Normandy SR2 better, it has a much sleeker appearance. like the SSV1 looks like a bulky fighter, while the SR2 looks more like a sleek frigate, the engines look smaller compared to the main hull aswell. |
