Rep Power: 0 ![]() | bump map vs normal map Hi, great tutorial on modeling and texturing. I noticed that you were using normal maps. Do you prefer to use normal maps over bump maps? Is your normal work flow to create a basic bump map and convert it into a normal map? Do you use displacement maps at all? Thanks! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hedllo and thx for a really inspirational and great looking tutorial, its really hard to find good tutorials for game environment creation so this was more than welcome. I work in a civil engineering company making Virtual Reality models of upcoming construction projects but Im new and really dont get much help, I try to explain that creating good looking environment takes time and you really cant cheat but they dont seem to understand cause they know nothing abour normal- and specularf maps etc they think its just adding a photo and we are done! So my question to you is how long time in hours does it approximately take for you to produce this kind of scene or project including all the modeling UVing and texturing? /AquaStealth |
